Day 1 - We will pick you up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai and head out of the city to our cycle drop off point in the country surrounding Chiang Mai. We will cycle our way through rural villages, small fruit farms, rice paddies and waterways. Depending on the season you may even get the chance to stop off and help with planting and harvesting! After two hours of cycling you we will stop for a well earned lunch before driving to our trek starting point for a short trek up to a local Karen village. Here you will get the chance to see life in a genuine working Karen village before taking off to a nearby waterfall and then completing the trek at your overnight accommodation in your village stay accommodation over looking the Thai rural village of Huay Pong. We can kick back and relax until its time to prepare dinner, all are welcome to get involved as your guide will teach you to prepare a Thai feast from local produce and ingredients. Spend the evening by the camp fire with your guide or retire to your bungalow to relax and recharge for the following days activities.
Day 2- You will wake up to fantastic views form your bungalow balcony and breakfast will be prepared. We will wander down to the local village school where you can see local children being taught and let them have the chance of practicing their English language skills with you. As the day heats up take the chance to kick back in the hammock and observe rural life below or if you are feeling more energetic then why not. Later in the afternoon will will head up the river valley to try your hand at bamboo rafting before heading back to the city. |
