Overview - Immerse
yourself in un spoilt
beauty and natural surroundings
with a 2 day 1 night trekking experience in Doi Inthanon National Park. Over two days
we will head off the beaten
path and into the mountains in Doi Inthanon's pristine park You will experience the diverse flora and fauna as well as the traditional ways of life of some of the ethnic groups living here. You will stay in a real Karen village's home. Be prepared
for some real but rewarding trekking to
traditional and rarely visited
hill tribe villages, you will encounter
Hmong and Karen hill tribes
in their natural surroundings on this Inthanon trek.
A seven tier waterfall, swimming and
traditional hill tribe food
options will also feature. Be prepared for
basic accommodation and
facilities in the hill tribe
villages as you will also
be living like the locals. After the trekking on day 2 let us take you by vehicle to Doi inthanon's peak, the highest mountain in Thailand and (weather allowing) enjoy
the stunning view which this high point has to offer. Please note that we work
closely with the hill tribe
communities we visit to
provide a positive and beneficial
experience for both you
the trekker and the villages
we visit whilst having the
minimum impact on the traditional
ways of life.
Day 1- Early start! Drive to a local market to stock up and then on to our Inthanon drop off, Mae Ya waterfall, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Thailand. Eat lunch and start our 3 hour up hill hike to a local karen village through lush farmland and Hmong villages. Overnight in the Karen village and pay a visit to the local village school to see how the local Karen kiddies are educated. After preparing a meal with your guide kick back by the fire or retire to your accommodation.
Day 2 - Hike up to a local gem, a seven tier waterfall that is virtually unknown to tourists! Continue hiking to the Royal Agricultural Project where you can see many types of local produce growing. We will drive to the peak of Thailand, the misty Doi inthanon via the Royal Pagodas. After enjoying the stunning views from the highest spot in Thailand we will return to Chiang Mai at the end of the day. |
